Most of hostel students do enjoy wifi advantage mostly at night. The internet speed is always high at night for about 5 mb/s due to small number of students. They use the wifi to download PDFs and other learning materials. Most of these materials do require a lot of data and students prefer using wifi because it is free. Students can be in wifi places up to around midnight and is because they are forced to do so by university’s watchmen. Some of wifi areas in Moi University are student centre, around administrative block, around school of information science, Pavillion and school of biological and aerospace studies.
